Regarding Online Meal Payment

How do I add money to my student's account?
Visit Select Meal Payments from the left navigation bar or from the center page. Enter your student’s name and BISD identification number (ID). Enter the amount you would like to add and select Buy Now.

How do I get my student's ID number.
Ask your student! For security reasons we can not give out your child’s ID number over the phone. If your child does not know their ID number, you must visit your child’s school in person and present identification to obtain that information. You will need this ID number each time you make a meal payment so it is a good idea to keep in a safe place. ID numbers remain the same throughout BISD. They do not change when your child transitions through grade levels or campuses.

Do I need to establish an account?
You do NOT need an account prior to using the web store. When you reach the Checkout screen, enter your email address as a New Customer and click Sign in using our secure server at the bottom of the page. On the next page, enter your name, address, phone, and payment information. You will also be prompted to establish a password. This password is not issued by the School or this web store. For your next payment in the web store, enter your email and password as a Returning Customer your contact information will be pre-filled for you.

My credit card was not accepted.
Make sure you enter the credit card billing information in the “Billing Information” section. This must be the billing address where you receive your mailed credit card bill. We accept MasterCard or VISA, debit or credit card.

Special note to Debit Card users: Many banks “reserve” the amount you attempt to charge each time you make an attempt, even if the debit card is declined. While the money will not be withdrawn from your account, a reserve will prevent you from making other withdrawals for several days and MAY create an overdraft. If your debit card was not accepted due to “address verification error”, contact your bank to have them update their information to the Address Verification System.

When will my child have money in the account to use?
Payments made before 2:00 p.m. will be available for use the following school day in time for breakfast. Payments made after 2:00 pm are not available for 2 school days. Balances shown online are as of the previous school day's activity.

Do I have to enter a certain amount of money each time I use the system?
You may add any amount for each student's payment. Student meal prices are listed below:

Middle School$1.50$3.10
High School$1.50$3.10
Reduced meal program - all grades $0.30$0.40

How do I pay for multiple students?
You may make multiple payments with the same charge, but you must make separate pages for each student. At the shopping cart page, you have the option to “Continue Shopping.” Select this option to choose the next campus and add additional student payments.

How will I know the payment was accepted?
During checkout, you are required to provide an email address. When the charge is authorized, a confirmation email is sent immediately to that address.

I received my confirmation email but when I entered the system again to check the balance my payment did not show up. Was it accepted?
If you received a confirmation email your payment was accepted. The balance shown will not change until that day’s transactions have been updated on our system. Payments made by 2:00 p.m. will be available the following school day in time for breakfast. You may also click on My Account on the left side of the web store to verify your payment. Enter the email address and password you established with your payment. The screen will show every order you have placed using this email and password.

Can teachers and employees make payments?
Yes. We invite any teacher or employee with a lunchroom account to use the online payment option also. Enter the letter A and a dash in front of your cafeteria ID code. ID 12345 is entered as A-12345.

Does the online meal payment system store my credit card information?
No, for security reasons the online payment web site does not store your credit card type, number or expiration date. You must enter this information each time you use the system.

What happens to the money on my child’s account at the end of the school year?
The funds on your child’s account are rolled over into the following semester and will be available the first day of school.
